Hallo shipmates,
I have seen many photos of ships under sail on this forum and would like to ask for help on the technique of showing them as if the ship is being driven by a fairly stiff breeze (wind astern). I particularly like the photos of pictures in ANCRE's monographs and so I have attached two scans. One technique I have heard about: use diluted white glue on the sail material. I have already made the three sails from percale. I like the idea of furling the main sail. The fore and mizzen would be partly reefed.
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
Keith.
