I will probably never reach the level of your workmanship but it is an insperation to me to see the quality and detail that can be attained. You are an artist of the first rate and I enjoy visiting sites like this just to look at the pictures posted.

Flags were sewed from separate strips of a fabric. On this model under drawings for different flags the miscellaneous колличество strips (different colors) is provided. The fabric is preliminary painted in the necessary colors. For this model I painted in two colors - red and dark blue (white - увет fabrics). Has then soaked the painted pieces in a water solution of glue. Cut on strips of the necessary width. Has then started to collect strips in a flag (with necessary колличеством strips of each color). The tipping over of strips was equal 1,5 mm. Glued on glue ПВА. Last operation - coloring. Painted with a weak solution of bitumen (or a bitumen varnish). Has dissolved in solvent. Has poured out in a tray. On one flag soaked in a solution. Has hung up on drying. Then (already on a flagstaff) has given to a flag the necessary rumpled kind. All. Флаги сшивались из отдельных полос ткани. На этой модели по чертежам для разных флагов предусмотрено разное колличество полос ( разных цветов). Ткань предварительно окрашивается в нужные цвета. Для этой модели я красил в два цвета - красный и синий (белый - цвет ткани). Потом вымочил покрашенные куски в водном растворе клея. Нарезал на полоски нужной ширины. Потом начал собирать полоски в флаг (с нужным колличеством полос каждого цвета). Перехлест полос был равен 1,5 мм. Клеил на клей ПВА. Последняя операция - окрашивание. Красил слабым раствором битума (или битумного лака). Развел в растворителе. Вылил в ванночку. По одному флагу вымачивал в растворе. Повесил на просушку. Потом (уже на флагштоке) придал флагу нужный помятый вид. Все.
